He was born in 1982 in Karadeniz Ereğli. He graduated from Karadeniz Ereğli Anatolian High School in 2000.

He completed his dentistry education at Gazi University Faculty of Dentistry. He completed his military service in Ankara Naval Forces Command Center in 2011.

He moved to Çorlu in 2011. Aiming to progress in his profession, Dt. Sercan ŞAHİN received implant training in Italy, Croatia, England, and Cuba. He speaks English fluently.
